Converts a 4-pin Molex LP4 connector to a 4-pin ATX 12V CPU power plug using 18AWG copper conductors over 8 inches
This EN-Labs adapter converts a standard 4-pin Molex LP4 connector from a power supply into a 4-pin ATX 12V P4 plug for a motherboard CPU socket. It uses 18AWG copper conductors and measures 8 inches end to end. The cable is designed solely for motherboard CPU power delivery.
Use this cord when a power supply lacks a dedicated 4-pin CPU connector but has spare Molex plugs available. The upgrade is worth it for older boards that require the P4 auxiliary feed and for test benches where a permanent ATX harness is not fitted. It does not replace an 8-pin EPS connector or serve graphics cards.
The ATX P4 standard carried on this cable supplies 12 V DC through only two 12 V pins and two ground pins. It cannot deliver the current required by modern multi-phase CPU VRMs or by any PCIe graphics adapter. Builders needing higher wattage or an 8-pin EPS interface must use a power supply with native cables.

The 8-inch length is measured end-to-end, so allow at least that much straight-line space between the PSU Molex port and the motherboard 4-pin ATX12V header.
Both connectors are keyed; the Molex LP4 plugs into the PSU peripheral lead and the ATX P4 plugs into the motherboard CPU header — the error is forcing a graphics-card 6-pin or 8-pin socket instead.
Replace if the 18AWG copper conductors show cracked insulation, melted plastic at either 4-pin housing, or intermittent 12V delivery that causes CPU power loss.
