Adds two SATA 6.0 Gbps ports via a Mini PCIe slot using an ASMedia ASM1061 controller with a full-size bracket included
This EN-Labs adapter converts a single Mini PCI Express slot into two SATA 6.0 Gbps ports using the ASMedia ASM1061 chipset. It supports transfer rates of 1.5, 3.0 and 6.0 Gbps and complies with Mini PCIe specification revision 1.2. The half-size card includes a full-size bracket for flexible installation in small form factor systems.
The low-profile half-size form factor fits tight chassis while the included full-size bracket offers an alternative mounting option. Two standard SATA data connectors allow direct attachment of hard drives, SSDs or optical drives without extra cabling. The card draws power from the Mini PCIe slot itself and supports AHCI, IDE and Native Command Queueing for stable operation under load.
This adapter adds internal SATA connectivity to embedded boards, thin clients or compact PCs that lack onboard SATA headers. It replaces the need for external USB enclosures when installing a 2.5-inch SSD or hard drive as a boot device. The jump is worth it when the system has a free Mini PCIe slot but no mSATA support, and RAID is not required.
