PCIe 1x to 16x Riser for GPU Mining

This EN-Labs riser card adapts a PCIe 1x motherboard slot to accept a full-size 16x graphics card. It is intended for builders assembling open-air or rack-mounted mining rigs who need to space multiple GPUs away from the board.

60cm USB 3.0 cable sets the reach

The 60cm USB 3.0 cable carries the differential signals between the 1x slot adapter and the 16x GPU connector. Its length determines how far the graphics card can sit from the motherboard in a mining frame.

SATA-to-4Pin power cable moves load off the board

A SATA to 4Pin Molex cable is included so the riser draws auxiliary power from the PSU instead of the motherboard slot. Three solid capacitors on the card provide voltage regulation and overcurrent protection for the GPU.

Questions about this item

Does the 1x to 16x riser run a graphics card at full 16x speed?

The riser connects a 16x card to a 1x slot, so the link operates at 1x bandwidth; the card will work but not at full 16x throughput

What PCIe generation does the USB 3.0 cable support and what BIOS setting may be needed?

The cable is rated for USB 3.0; if the graphics card is not recognised, set the motherboard PCIe slot to Gen 2 or Gen 1 in BIOS

What power connectors must the PSU provide for this riser kit?

The kit includes a SATA to 4‑pin Molex cable, so the power supply needs a free SATA power lead to feed the riser board
