Outdoor Waterproof RJ45 Coupler

This EN-Labs RJ45 coupler joins two Ethernet patch cables to extend a network run. It supports Cat7, Cat6, Cat5e and Cat5 cabling and is built for outdoor installations where moisture or dust are present. The unit is brand new and rated to Category 6 performance levels.

M22×1.5 Threaded Sealed Housing

A waterproof screw thread sized M22×1.5 locks the connector into a panel or enclosure to maintain the seal. Gold-plated contacts and a snap-in retaining clip keep each cable firmly seated and resist corrosion over time. No additional gaskets or tools are required beyond the threaded body.

Shielded 10-Gigabit Ready Link

The shielded construction preserves signal integrity for speeds up to 10 gigabit per second on compatible cabling. It simply bridges two terminated patch cords, so no crimping or configuration is needed. Buyers who need a field-terminable connector or a bulkhead feed-through with a different thread size cannot use this coupler.

Questions about this item

How long can the coupler sustain a 10 gigabit link before performance drops?

The coupler is rated to meet Category 6 performance for 10 gigabit speeds, so it will maintain that rate for the duration of the cable run without a built-in time limit.

Does the waterproof housing add heat or require extra power when used continuously outdoors?

It is a passive connector with no electronics, so it draws no power and generates no heat during all-day operation.

What thread size must the mounting surface have to seal the M22x1.5 waterproof screw thread?

The panel or enclosure needs a matching M22x1.5 thread to engage the coupler's waterproof screw thread and achieve a sealed outdoor installation.
