6-inch silver USB-C multiport adapter

This new EN-Labs adapter adds an HDMI output, a USB 3.0 Type-A port and a USB-C power-delivery input to a laptop or tablet that has a USB-C port with DisplayPort Alternate Mode. The 6-inch cable and aluminium-alloy housing keep the unit compact for travel or desk use. HDMI video reaches 4096×2160 at 30 Hz, and the USB 3.0 port transfers data at up to 5 Gbps. The USB-C female port accepts up to 100 W of power delivery for charging the host device.

Suits single-display users with PD charging

It suits anyone who wants to mirror or extend to one HDMI display while keeping a standard USB-A peripheral connected and charging the host through the same adapter. Buyers whose USB-C port lacks DisplayPort Alternate Mode cannot use the video output. Buyers who need a second data-capable USB-C port should look for a different adapter. Buyers who need 4K at 60 Hz or higher refresh rates will not get them from this unit.

HDMI 4K 30 Hz with 100 W pass-through

The single specification that decides fit is the HDMI output limited to 4K resolution at 30 Hz while the USB-C female port delivers up to 100 W of power delivery to the host. If the display or workflow needs 60 Hz or the host requires more than 100 W, this adapter will not meet the requirement.
