What this adapter does
The EN-Labs USBC2VHDGY converts a USB 3.1 Type-C port with DisplayPort Alternate Mode into one HDMI and one VGA output. It lets you connect two external displays at once for extended or mirrored desktop space. No drivers or external power are required.
When the upgrade makes sense
If your laptop has only a single USB-C video port and you need both a modern HDMI screen and a legacy VGA projector, this 2-in-1 hub replaces carrying separate dongles. The jump is worth it when you regularly present or multitask across two monitors.
Build fit and requirements
Your host must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode over USB-C; Thunderbolt 3 ports also work. HDMI alone delivers up to 3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz, VGA alone up to 1080p, and both together run at 1080p 60 Hz. Audio passes through HDMI only.

Questions about this item
What USB-C port requirement must my laptop meet for this adapter to work?
The laptop USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode; without it the adapter will not output video.
Which step do users often miss when connecting both HDMI and VGA displays?
Users often forget that simultaneous HDMI and VGA output is limited to 1080p at 60 Hz, so 4K is only available on HDMI alone.
Will I ever need to install a driver or add external power for this adapter?
No driver installation or external power supply is required; the adapter is plug-and-play.
