Outdoor Wi-Fi 6 Bridge

The EnGenius ENH500AX is a dual-band outdoor wireless bridge that delivers up to 1.17 Gbit/s throughput using Wi-Fi 6 technology. It ships with a PoE injector, power cord, pole-mount brackets, strap and wall-mount hardware for flexible installation. The unit is designed for point-to-point links in exposed environments.

Suitable for line-of-sight links, not mesh

This bridge suits installers who need a dedicated 5 GHz point-to-point connection between two fixed locations. It is not intended for clients requiring multi-point mesh coverage, indoor ceiling mounting or management through a cloud controller. Buyers needing omnidirectional AP mode should consider other form factors.

1.17 Gbit/s aggregate throughput

The headline 1.17 Gbit/s figure represents the maximum combined data rate across both radios under ideal conditions. Real-world throughput will vary with distance, interference and alignment, so verify that this capacity meets the link budget before deployment.

Questions about this item

Does the ENH500AX need a PoE-capable switch or will the included EPA5006GR injector power it alone?

The box includes a PoE injector, so the access point can be powered directly from a standard AC outlet without a PoE switch.

Can the 5 GHz Wi-Fi 6 bridge link carry traffic from legacy 802.11n devices connected to its Ethernet port?

Yes, the Ethernet port passes wired traffic across the 5 GHz link regardless of the wireless standard used by the connected client devices.

How can I confirm the 1.17 Gbit/s link is active after mounting the unit on a pole?

Check the management interface for a 5 GHz connection showing the expected throughput and low packet loss on the bridge status page.
