6-inch self-locking nylon ties

This pack contains one thousand black cable ties measuring six inches long and 2.5 mm wide. Each tie is moulded from industrial-grade 6/6 nylon and rated to hold eighteen pounds of tension. They are designed for indoor and outdoor cable management in homes, offices, gardens and workshops.

Replaces loose Velcro or reusable straps

The jump is worth it when a permanent, tamper-resistant bundle is required and the tie will not need to be reopened. Single-use locking ties prevent accidental release in vibration-prone areas such as vehicle wiring or outdoor fencing. They also eliminate the bulk of hook-and-loop wraps in dense loom routing.

Simple press-and-pull installation

Insert the tapered tail into the head and pull until the desired tension is reached; the pawl engages automatically and cannot be released without cutting. The only common issue is over-tightening, which can deform soft-insulation cables, so stop when the bundle is firm but not compressed. Scissors or side-cutters are needed for removal.

Questions about this item

Will the 2.5 mm width and 6 inch length fit around standard cable bundles?

Each tie is 6 inch long and 2.5 mm wide with an 18 lbs tensile rating, suited for typical indoor and outdoor bundling tasks.

How do I lock the self-locking fastener without it slipping?

Insert the tapered tail through the head, pull tight until the internal pawl engages; the lock stays set permanently and can only be released by cutting.

Do the nylon ties become brittle after seasonal temperature swings?

The 6/6 nylon is rated from -40 to 85 degrees C, UV and weather resistant, so they retain flexibility through repeated freeze-thaw and sun exposure.
