Industrial Spill Absorbent

EP Minerals 8925 is a 25 lb bag of industrial-grade absorbent made from diatomaceous earth. It is designed for electricians and maintenance crews who need to clean up water, oil and grease spills quickly in workshop or job-site environments.

Thermals Noise and Power

This product is a loose mineral absorbent and therefore has no thermal output, noise level or electrical power draw during use. It requires no energy source and operates passively when spread over a spill.

Absorbent Material and Capacity

The sole specification that determines suitability is the diatomaceous earth composition supplied in a 25 lb bag. Buyers who need a chemical neutraliser, a hazardous-material solidifier or a reusable sorbent pad should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I apply the 25 lb EP Minerals 8925 absorbent to an oil spill, and what is the common mistake?

Spread the diatomaceous earth granules over the spill until fully covered, let them soak up the liquid, then sweep up the saturated material; the frequent error is not waiting long enough for full absorption before cleaning.

What replacement or maintenance will the 25 lb bag of EP Minerals 8925 require after use?

The product is a single-use loose absorbent; once the diatomaceous earth is saturated with oil, water or grease it must be disposed of and a fresh bag purchased for the next spill.

What limit appears first when using EP Minerals 8925 continuously on large spills?

The 25 lb supply is the limiting factor; each bag absorbs a finite volume of liquid, so sustained clean-up of big spills will exhaust the stock before any performance decline of the mineral itself.
