Contact-centre headset

The EPOS SC 260 is a binaural wired headset built for contact-centre agents and hot-desking workers who use UC clients or softphones. Its double-sided on-ear design keeps both ears covered so the user stays focused on the call. A bendable boom arm lets the microphone pivot into the exact position needed for clear voice pickup. The Easy Disconnect interface makes it simple to unplug and move between desks.

Sustained comfort and voice clarity

Lightweight construction and soft ear cushions reduce fatigue during back-to-back shifts that run for hours. The uni-directional electret condenser microphone uses noise-cancelling technology to suppress background chatter so the far end hears only the speaker. ActiveGard protection limits sudden acoustic spikes to safeguard hearing over long periods. The headset maintains consistent audio quality without the degradation that can appear in cheaper units after extended daily use.

Low heat and simple power

Passive analogue operation draws no external power and generates no measurable heat on the head or ears. No active electronics means zero fan noise and no battery to charge or replace. The carry bag and clothing clip keep the cable tidy when the headset is stored or transported between workstations.

Questions about this item

Does the EPOS SC 260 headset generate noticeable heat or fan noise during all-day use?

The wired EPOS SC 260 has no active cooling or electronics that produce heat or fan noise; it draws power directly from the connected desk phone, so it stays silent and cool during extended shifts.

What desk-phone cable or adapter must I already own to connect the SC 260's Easy Disconnect interface?

The headset terminates in an Easy Disconnect plug; you need the specific quick-disconnect cable that matches your desk phone brand and model, which is sold separately.

Will the SC 260's unidirectional noise-cancelling microphone work properly with an older analogue desk phone?

The microphone is designed for wideband digital desk phones; on an older analogue line the noise-cancelling benefit may be reduced and wideband audio will not be available.
