Wired On-Ear Headset for Hybrid Work

The EPOS IMPACT 460T is a wired on-ear headset built for hybrid workers who need reliable voice clarity on every call. It connects via USB Type C and carries Microsoft Teams certification for plug-and-play integration. The binaural stereo design delivers sound to both ears for focused conversation.

USB Type C Interface and 32 Ohm Load

The USB Type C connection provides digital audio and power without a separate adapter, limiting use to hosts with a compatible port. A 32 Ohm impedance allows the headset to be driven directly by the USB controller, but it also means output level depends on the host’s voltage capability. No analogue fallback or wireless option is present.

Frequency Range and Cable Reach

The 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response covers the full audible band for speech and multimedia playback. A 5.91 ft cable gives enough slack for desk movement without excess coil. On-ear pads dampen ambient noise passively, yet they do not seal like over-ear models, so very loud environments will still leak into the listening experience.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 460T or a different IMPACT model for Teams calls?

The 460T is the Microsoft Teams certified variant, so it is the correct choice if you need native Teams integration.

How does the 32 Ohm impedance affect daily use with a laptop?

At 32 Ohm the headset is easy to drive, delivering full volume from a standard USB-C port without an external amplifier.

What does the USB Type-C connection actually limit for audio quality?

The digital USB-C link supports the headset's 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and powers the noise-cancelling microphone directly.
