What the EPOS B20 delivers

The EPOS B20 is a USB-C streaming microphone built for gamers and creators who need clear voice capture without complex setup. It connects to PC, Mac or PlayStation consoles with a single cable and includes a desk stand for immediate placement. The design uses quality materials for daily use and a modern grey finish. A red LED shows mute status at a glance.

Limits of the USB-C interface

The microphone draws power and sends audio over one USB-C link, so no extra power supply or audio interface is required. The supplied cable measures 2.9 metres, which sets the maximum distance from the host device unless an active extension is added. Plug-and-play operation works on the listed platforms, but advanced tuning needs the EPOS Gaming Suite software. No analog outputs or wireless option are provided.

The pickup-pattern choice that decides fit

Four selectable patterns — cardioid, stereo, bidirectional and omnidirectional — cover solo streaming, interviews, round-table chat and ambient capture. If your workflow only ever needs a single fixed pattern, a simpler mic may cost less. If you must switch patterns mid-session without software, the hardware buttons on the B20 handle that directly. The 20 Hz low-frequency response supports deep voice reproduction.

Questions about this item

Which pickup pattern should I select for solo streaming versus a round-table discussion?

Use cardioid for solo streaming to focus on your voice, stereo for immersive game audio, bidirectional for face-to-face interviews, and omnidirectional when capturing a group around the microphone.

What does the USB-C connection provide for everyday use?

A single USB-C cable delivers both power and digital audio, giving plug-and-play operation on PC, Mac and PS4/5 without extra drivers or an external power supply.

How does the 2.9 m cable length affect desk placement?

The 2.9 metre cable lets you position the microphone on its included desk stand or a boom arm while keeping the host device at a comfortable distance.
