Bluetooth speakerphone for Teams-certified meetings

The EPOS EXPAND 80T is a wireless conference speakerphone certified for Microsoft Teams. It connects via Bluetooth and offers a signal range up to 30 m or 98 ft. Six adaptive beamforming microphones with DSP isolate voices from room reverb and ambient noise. A neodymium ring magnet speaker delivers rich, natural sound for calls and audio streaming.

Flexible setup for huddle rooms and medium spaces

This unit suits small to medium meeting rooms where a single device covers the table. It supports attachment of up to two expansion microphones for larger gatherings. One-touch access to Microsoft Teams and voice assistants simplifies meeting start-up. Buyers needing a wired-only desktop speaker or a pocket-sized personal unit should look at other form factors.

Six-microphone beamforming array with DSP

The six digital MEMS omnidirectional microphones use beamforming to focus on active speakers while suppressing background noise. This microphone architecture is the core specification that determines pickup quality in reverberant rooms.

Questions about this item

How do the six beamforming microphones and suspended speaker box affect long-term upkeep?

The six beamforming microphones and suspended speaker box are solid-state components with no moving parts, so routine upkeep is limited to keeping the Kvadrat fabric and grille free of dust; no internal modules are user-replaceable.

What limits continuous operation first — the 30 m Bluetooth signal range or the speaker's thermal headroom?

The speaker is rated for ultra-low distortion and the Bluetooth link reaches 30 m, so neither spec imposes a hard time limit; the practical ceiling will be the host device's battery or the meeting platform's session timeout.

How much heat or fan noise appears when the unit runs all day at full output?

There is no fan in the design; the neodymium ring magnet speaker and DSP operate passively, so the device stays silent and only warm to the touch during extended use.
