Skullerz 3215 cotton breakaway lanyard

The Skullerz 3215 is a black cotton eyewear lanyard designed to keep safety glasses secure and within reach. Its breakaway feature releases under tension to reduce snag hazards in active work environments. Adjustable slip-on loops fit a range of frame styles. Metal-detectable construction supports compliance in food-processing and pharmaceutical settings.

Check glasses fit and workplace rules

Verify that your safety frames accept slip-on attachments before ordering. Confirm the 12 in length suits your preferred wearing position and does not interfere with other personal protective equipment. Ensure metal-detectable gear is accepted by your facility's detection systems and that breakaway release force matches site safety requirements.

Replaces fixed cords and non-detectable straps

This lanyard upgrades from basic cords that lack a breakaway release or metal-detectable properties. The jump is worth it when regulations require detectable components or when machinery entanglement risk demands a quick-release design. Workers needing x-ray detectable gear or a different attachment style should consider alternative products.

Questions about this item

Does the 12 in black cotton lanyard come with the safety glasses or must they be purchased separately?

The lanyard is sold alone; safety glasses are not included and must be bought separately.

What does the 3215 model number tell me about the lanyard version?

The 3215 identifies the Skullerz cotton breakaway style with slip-on ends, adjustable length, metal-detectable fabric and solid black colour.

How does the 12 in length perform when the breakaway releases on a moving machine?

At 12 in the cord stays short enough to avoid snag points yet long enough to let the glasses fall clear when the breakaway triggers.
