Grommet Mount for MX Single Arm

The Ergotron 98-110 grommet mount provides a fixed installation point for an MX single monitor arm through a desk surface. It clamps beneath the worktop for a stable hold without using the desk edge. The accessory weighs .7 lbs and comes in a silver finish. It is sold as a new component for compatible Ergotron arms.

Suitable for grommet-hole desks only

This mount suits users who have a pre-drilled grommet hole and want to free up the desk edge for other equipment. It does not work on desks without a suitable aperture or on surfaces too thick for the clamp range. Buyers needing a C-clamp edge mount or a wall-mount solution should look at alternative hardware.

Questions about this item

Does the grommet mount require any periodic tightening or replacement parts over time?

The mount is a single machined bracket with no moving parts or serviceable fasteners, so no scheduled maintenance or replacement components are needed.

What is the first limitation encountered when the arm stays fully extended for long periods?

The bracket itself carries no load rating; the practical limit is the MX arm's own torque capacity, which governs how far the monitor can reach before sag appears.
