Dual Monitor Arm for 32 Inch Screens

The Ergotron HX arm holds two monitors up to 32 inches diagonal and between 5 and 17.5 lbs each. It supports VESA 75x75mm and 100x100mm patterns. The polished aluminium construction suits home offices and collaborative workspaces needing flexible dual-screen positioning.

Clamp and Grommet Mounts Included

The box provides a two-piece desk clamp for surfaces 0.6 to 2.6 inches thick and a grommet mount for through-hole installation. A hinged bow lets screens fold outward for sharing, while each pivot adjusts rotation, pan and tilt independently. An optional Triple Monitor Bow Kit (98-009-026) can expand the setup later.

Check Desk Thickness and Monitor Weight

Verify your desktop edge falls within the 0.6 to 2.6 inch clamp range or that a suitable grommet hole exists. Confirm each monitor weighs between 5 and 17.5 lbs and measures no more than 32 inches diagonally. The arm lifts screens 11.5 inches for a maximum height of 20.6 inches above the desk.

Questions about this item

Will the desk clamp or grommet hardware need periodic tightening after months of daily height adjustments?

The two-piece desk clamp fits surfaces .6 to 2.6 inches thick and the grommet mount threads through a desk hole; both use standard hex bolts that can be re-tightened with a common Allen key if they loosen over time.

At what point does the 17.5-pound-per-monitor limit stop the arm from holding position smoothly?

Each pivot is rated for 5 to 17.5 lbs; once a monitor exceeds 17.5 lbs the internal spring can no longer counterbalance the weight and the screen will drift downward.

Does the polished aluminum finish or the gas-spring mechanism generate noticeable heat or noise during all-day operation?

The arm uses a passive gas spring with no motor or fan, so it produces no audible noise and no measurable heat regardless of how long the monitors stay raised.
