Adjustable-Height Cart for Healthcare and Office

The Ergotron Zido 22 is a steel-framed mobile cart designed for healthcare, laboratory and office environments. It supports a maximum load of 150 lb on a laminated medium-density fiberboard top. Pneumatic height adjustment allows quick repositioning without tools. Four 4-inch locking casters provide mobility and stability on hard floors.

Thermals Noise and Power in Normal Use

The cart operates without fans, motors or electrical components, so it generates no heat or audible noise during use. Powder-coat steel construction resists chips, cracks and chemicals while adding no thermal load to the room. Height changes rely on a manual pneumatic lever that requires no external power source. The 40 lb frame remains stable when fully loaded at the 40-inch extended height.

Cable Management and Durable Finish

Integrated cable routing keeps cords organised and off the floor during equipment moves. The laminated top surface resists moisture and cleaning agents common in clinical settings. Locking casters secure the cart in place when stationary, preventing unwanted drift. A lifetime limited warranty covers the frame and mechanical adjustment mechanism.

Questions about this item

How is the pneumatic height adjustment lever operated during assembly, and what step do installers often miss?

The cart ships with the pneumatic lever pre-attached to the steel frame; the step often missed is verifying that all four 4" casters are fully seated and locked before applying the 150 lb load.

Which components will need inspection or replacement after extended daily height cycling?

The pneumatic gas spring, the four 4" locking casters and the powder-coat finish on the steel frame are the wear items; the laminated MDF top resists cracks, chips and chemicals.

At what load does the pneumatic lift begin to lose consistent travel speed under sustained use?

The pneumatic adjustment is rated for the full 150 lb capacity; sustained cycling at that maximum load is the first limit where lift speed can become uneven.
