Product identity

The Ergotron Zido 26 High Monitor Extension Tube in Cool Grey is a 26-inch (66 cm) vertical riser designed to raise mounted accessories above the worksurface. It is built for users of the ZOMSCG monitor mount who need additional height for cameras or other AV equipment. The tube includes an end cap and all necessary mounting hardware for a secure fit.

Thermals noise and power

This passive accessory has no moving parts, draws no power and generates no heat or audible noise during operation. Its aluminium construction simply extends the mounting column without adding any thermal load to the workstation. Installation does not affect the power budget or acoustic profile of the connected monitor mount system.

Upgrade path

The extension tube replaces the standard column height on compatible Zido adjustable-height carts when the default reach is insufficient for the intended accessory placement. The upgrade is worthwhile when the worksurface height or user sight line demands an extra 26 inches of vertical clearance for cameras, lights or secondary displays. Buyers who do not require additional elevation above the worksurface will not benefit from this component.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 26-high extension tube on the ZOMSCG monitor mount and what step is often missed?

Slide the tube onto the mount post, secure the set screws evenly, then press the included end cap firmly into the top opening to prevent debris entry.

What maintenance or replacement will the Cool Grey Zido tube need over time?

The powder-coat finish resists corrosion; only the plastic end cap may need replacement if it cracks or falls out during cleaning.

At what height limit does the 66 cm extension tube show deflection under sustained monitor weight?

Deflection becomes noticeable when the combined monitor and accessory load approaches the mount's rated capacity at the full 26-inch extension.
