Records six channels at up to 1080P with ONVIF support and dual video outputs
The ESCAM PVR204 is a network video recorder that manages up to six IP camera channels, including two dedicated cloud channels. It runs an embedded Linux operating system on a HI3520D chipset and provides VGA and HDMI outputs at 1080P resolution. Local storage is handled by a single SATA drive bay supporting up to 6T capacity. The unit is powered by a 12V2A supply with a maximum consumption of 15W.
This recorder fits homes or small businesses that want six channels of 1080P recording with ONVIF compatibility and remote access via smartphone or VMS software. It is not suitable for installations requiring more than six channels, higher frame rates than NTSC 30fps or PAL 25fps, or cameras that do not support the H.264 codec. Buyers needing dual network ports, advanced analytics, or redundant storage should consider other solutions.
The recorder offers one SATA 2.0 interface with a maximum supported drive size of 6T, which directly determines how many days of 1080P footage can be retained. If the retention period demanded by the site exceeds what a single 6T drive can hold, this model will not meet the requirement. No additional internal drive bays or external storage expansion options are provided beyond the two USB 2.0 ports for backup.

Yes, the recorder has one SATA 2.0 bay that accepts a drive up to 6T; without a drive installed it cannot save footage locally.
The NVR decodes 1080P, 960P and 720P streams, so existing 720P cameras are supported as long as they speak ONVIF or the ESCAM protocol.
Check the HDMI or VGA monitor for a live 1080P grid view, then trigger motion in front of a camera and verify the timeline shows a new event clip.
