The set suits home offices and small businesses that use listed Brother laser printers and want a lower-cost supply option.

The cartridges work with numerous Brother DCP, HL, MFC and IntelliFax models including the 2240, 2270, 7055, 7057, 7060, 7065, 7070, 2130, 2132, 2220, 2230, 2240, 2242, 2250, 2270, 2280, 2840, 2940, 7240, 7360, 7460, 7470 and 7860 series. High-yield 2600-page rating

The decisive specification is the 2600-page yield per cartridge measured at five percent coverage. If your print volume regularly exceeds this yield or you require the original manufacturer's cartridge, this pack will not meet that need.

Questions about this item

How do I install the eSquareOne S1-BR-TN420-02 cartridge and what step is often missed?

Open the front cover, pull out the drum unit, press the green lock lever to release the old cartridge, unpack the new one, gently shake it side-to-side five or six times to distribute toner evenly, pull the sealing tape straight out, slide the cartridge into the drum until it clicks, then reinsert the drum and close the cover.

What part will need replacement after these two cartridges are used?

The separate drum unit (Brother DR-420) will eventually need replacement; the printer will display a drum-life warning when it reaches its rated page count.

At what page count does the toner-low alert usually appear under continuous printing?

Each cartridge is rated for 2600 pages at 5% coverage; the printer will signal low toner when that yield is approached, though heavy graphics or dense text will trigger the alert sooner.
