Splitter for Two Devices on One Cable

This RJ45 splitter adapter lets two computers or a computer and a TV share a single Ethernet line at the same time. It uses a physical tapping method so both female ports work simultaneously. The unit is designed for Cat 5, Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat 7 cables with 8P8C plugs.

Speed Limited to 100 Mbps Per Port

Each of the two output groups can only reach 100 Mbps, so the adapter is not suitable for gigabit or faster links. The built-in shielded PCB with gold-plated pins keeps the signal stable and prevents interference between the two cable groups.

USB Power Cable Enables Operation

A 1.2 m USB cable supplies 3.3 V power that the splitter requires to function; it cannot operate without this connection. The cable also allows charging while networking, and the compact 4 cm by 3.5 cm by 2.1 cm housing fits easily behind equipment.

Questions about this item

Will both connected devices really run at the same time on a single Ethernet line?

Yes, the splitter lets two computers share one cable simultaneously, though each connection is limited to 100 Mbps.

What does the USB power cable actually do for the adapter?

The 1.2 m USB lead supplies 3.3 V to the internal PCB so the splitter can operate; it will not work without that power connection.

How much space does the adapter itself need behind a router or PC?

The unit measures 4 cm x 3.5 cm x 2.1 cm, so it fits in tight patches behind equipment.
