HDMI 1.4 bandwidth limits

The switch operates within the HDMI 1.4 specification at 10.2Gbps maximum bandwidth. This restricts 4K signals to 30Hz with YUV 4:2:0 chroma subsampling, while 1080p content can reach 60Hz. Input and output cables must not exceed eight metres when using AWG26 HDMI 1.4 standard cables to maintain signal integrity.

Resolution and audio headroom

The matrix handles resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 at 30Hz and supports 3D video formats including 1040p 3D. Audio passthrough covers PCM, Dolby AC3, DTS 5.1, DTS 7.1 and DSD formats.
