Seven-input HDMI 2.0 switch

The ESTONE switch connects up to seven HDMI sources to a single display. It supports 4K resolution at 60 Hz with a maximum bandwidth of 18.5 Gbps. HDCP 2.2 and HDR10 are handled for protected high-dynamic-range content. An IR remote and automatic source detection simplify everyday switching.

Users with many 4K sources.

This unit suits setups where a TV or monitor has only one HDMI input but several 4K devices such as consoles, streamers or players need permanent connection. It does not help buyers who require 8K resolution or higher refresh rates than 60 Hz at 4K. Anyone needing to convert older analogue signals like composite or VGA should look elsewhere.

18.5 Gbps bandwidth ceiling

The 18.5 Gbps limit defines the maximum uncompressed video throughput. It carries 4K at 60 Hz with HDR10 and Dolby Vision metadata within the HDMI 2.0 specification. Signals demanding more bandwidth, such as 4K at 120 Hz or 8K formats, will not pass correctly through this switch.

Questions about this item

How do I connect seven source devices to one display with this switch?

Connect up to seven HDMI source devices to the input ports and run a single HDMI cable from the output to the display; the step often missed is plugging in the external power supply so the switch can handshake all ports reliably.

What replacement might be needed after extended use?

The external power adapter is the component most likely to need replacement if its output drifts or the connector wears from repeated insertion.

What resolution limit appears first when running multiple 4K sources continuously?

The 18.5Gbps bandwidth ceiling caps combined throughput, so sustained 4K 60Hz on several ports simultaneously may force the switch to drop to lower refresh rates or colour depth.
