Connects USB-C devices to DisplayPort monitors at up to 8K 60 Hz or 4K 144 Hz with 32.4 Gbps bandwidth
The ESTONE BK-CD2 is a USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable designed to connect a Thunderbolt 3 or Thunderbolt 4 host to a DisplayPort monitor. It suits users who need 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz from a laptop or tablet that supports DP Alt Mode. It is not for buyers who want a bi-directional cable or who need to drive a USB-C display from a DisplayPort source.
Plug the USB-C end into a port that explicitly supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode; a standard USB-C charging port will not carry video. The male-to-male connectors seat firmly, but the 3.3 ft length limits placement flexibility. The most frequent problem is connecting to a host without DP Alt Mode, which yields no signal.
DisplayPort 1.4 provides 32.4 Gbps bandwidth with DSC 1.2 compression up to 3:1 for visually lossless output. Supported modes include 7680x4320 at 60 Hz, 5120x2880 at 60 Hz, 3840x2160 at 144 Hz, and 2560x1440 at 240 Hz. Higher resolutions or refresh rates require a newer interface that this cable does not implement.
