The aluminium and ABS housing measures 8.23 x 3.82 x 1.06 inches and weighs 10 ounces. It is aimed at MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, Surface and Chromebook users who need legacy video, wired networking and extra peripherals from one cable.

Check your host port and display needs

Verify that your laptop’s Type-C port supports video alt-mode and Power Delivery; the hub requires both to drive its video outputs and pass up to 87 W of charging power to the host. The two HDMI ports deliver 3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz, while the VGA port reaches 1080p at 60 Hz. Ethernet negotiates at 1000 Mbps. USB 3.0 ports run at 5 Gbps and the card readers operate simultaneously. Wireless charging works only with Qi-compatible phones placed on the designated pad.
