120W USB-A to USB-C cable pack

This two-pack of 6.6ft blue cables delivers up to 120W (6A) Power Delivery charging from a USB-A source to USB-C devices. Each cable includes a built-in E-Marker chip so the charger can negotiate the full 20V/6A profile for laptops, tablets and phones. The nylon-braided jacket and zinc-alloy connectors are rated for over 36,000 bend cycles.

USB 2.0 data and no video output

Data transfer is limited to USB 2.0 at 480Mbps, moving a 1GB file in roughly 30 seconds. The cables do not support USB 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 4.0 or Thunderbolt speeds, and they cannot carry a video signal to an external display. Buyers needing faster sync or video alt-mode should choose a different cable.

Check your charger and port capabilities

To reach 120W you need a USB-A charger that can supply 20V at 6A; lower-output ports will charge more slowly. The USB-A host must also support Power Delivery over Type-A, which is not universal. Verify that your laptop, phone or tablet accepts 120W PD input before expecting the maximum speed.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 1m or 2m length from the 6.6ft 2-pack?

Both cables in the 2-pack are 6.6ft long, so you receive two identical 2m cables rather than mixed lengths.

What does the 120W rating deliver when paired with a compatible charger?

With a 120W USB Power Delivery charger the cable can charge a 2022 MacBook Pro 16 to 90–100% in about 1.5 hours.

Does the USB-A to USB-C connector limit data speed to USB 2.0?

Yes, the cable is specified for 480Mbps USB 2.0 data transfer and does not support USB 3.0, 4.0 or Thunderbolt.
