120 W USB-A to USB-C Cable

The ESTONE Essager CGA120W is a USB-A to USB-C charging cable rated for up to 120 W power delivery with a built-in E-Marker chip. It supports Power Delivery, QC, AFC and FCP protocols and reaches a maximum output of 100 W. Data transfer runs at USB 2.0 480 Mbps, and video output is not supported. The 6.6 ft nylon-braided cable has an aluminium alloy connector shell.

Mobile users and laptop owners needing fast charging

Buyers who want rapid charging for phones such as Samsung Galaxy S21, S22, S23 or Google Pixel, tablets like iPad Pro, or laptops including 2022 MacBook Pro will find the 120 W rating and 6 A current useful. The cable also suits Steam Deck and Switch owners. It is not for users who require video output, USB 3.0 or higher data speeds, or Thunderbolt connectivity.

USB 2.0 480 Mbps data rate

The single specification that decides suitability is the USB 2.0 480 Mbps data transfer limit. If you only need charging and basic file sync, this cable fits. If you need faster data rates, video output or Thunderbolt features, this cable cannot meet those needs.

Questions about this item

Will the USB-A plug fit a standard rectangular port on my laptop or wall charger?

Yes, the cable uses a standard USB-A connector that fits any USB-A port on laptops, chargers or power banks.

What is the step people often miss when trying to reach the 120W rate?

You must use a charger and device that both support Power Delivery, QC, AFC or FCP at 20V 6A; the built-in E-Marker chip then negotiates the full 120W.

When should I replace the cable if the nylon braid starts to fray?

Replace it once the braid exposes the inner wires or the aluminum alloy shell becomes loose, as damage can interrupt the 6A current path.
