What the cable does and who needs it

This two-pack of USB-A to USB-C cables delivers up to 100W of power and 480Mbps data transfer. Each cord measures 3.3ft and carries an Emarker chip for safe 20V/7A charging. The brown nylon braid resists tangling and suits users who need reliable fast charging and syncing for phones, tablets, laptops and consoles with a USB-C port.

Installing the cable and common issues

Simply plug the USB-A end into a charger, hub or computer and the USB-C end into the device; no drivers are required. The aluminium-alloy shells seat firmly, but forcing the connector upside-down can bend pins. Dust in either port may drop the link to lower speeds, so keep the ends clean and insert straight until the click is felt.

The spec that decides fit

The cable is rated for 100W at 20V and 7A with an Emarker chip, so it only reaches full speed when the power source and device both support that profile. If either end negotiates a lower voltage or current, charging will fall back to standard rates. Check the charger and device specifications to confirm 100W compatibility before relying on maximum output.

What comes in the package and is anything else required to reach full speed?

The box contains two 3.3ft brown nylon-braided USB-A to USB-C cables with built-in E-Marker chips; a 100W-capable USB-A charger must be supplied separately.

The Essager XCA7A model listed here is the 7A 100W variant with 480Mbps data transfer and aluminum-alloy connectors.
