Essager XCA7A USB-A to USB-C Cable 3.3FT Brown

The Essager XCA7A is a 3.3-foot USB-A to USB-C cable rated for 100W power delivery and 7A maximum current. It uses a built-in E-Marker chip to negotiate fast-charging profiles up to 20V across compatible laptops, tablets and phones. The double-braided nylon jacket and aluminum-alloy connector shells are tested to withstand more than 30000 bend cycles.

Compatible with USB-A chargers and devices using

This cable suits owners of USB-A power adapters who need 100W charging for devices such as MacBook Pro, Galaxy S22, S21 Ultra, S20, iPad Pro 2020 and 2021, Tab S8, Pixel 5 and 6, Switch and similar USB-C gear. It also provides 480Mbps data transfer for syncing files. Users whose chargers or devices only offer USB-C ports will need a USB-C to USB-C cable instead.

100W 7A power rating with E-Marker chip

The single specification that decides fit is the 100W 7A power rating combined with the built-in E-Marker chip, which enables 20V/5A negotiation for full-speed charging on 100W-capable hosts. Without this rating the cable cannot deliver the highest power levels required by larger laptops. Buyers should confirm their charger and device both support 100W USB Power Delivery over USB-A.

Questions about this item

How long does the 100 W fast-charge rate hold before the cable or charger throttles?

The cable is rated for 20 V at 7 A, delivering up to 100 W continuously as long as the power source and device negotiate that level.

Does the double-braided nylon jacket stay cool and quiet during all-day charging sessions?

The aluminium-alloy connector shells dissipate heat, and the braided nylon insulation remains passive with no moving parts, so there is no fan noise or noticeable warmth under normal 100 W loads.

What charger and device ports are required to use this USB-A to USB-C cable?

You need a USB-A charger that supports 20 V / 7 A output and a device with a USB-C port capable of accepting 100 W Power Delivery.
