MFi Certified Lightning Cable

This two-pack of USB-C to Lightning cables carries Apple MFi certification, so each cable includes an authorised chip that prevents compatibility warnings on iPhone 14, 13, 12, 11, X, XS, XR, SE and later models. The C94 connector with gold-plated pins replaces the older C48 design for reliable fast charging. Buyers who need a USB-A to Lightning cable or a longer length will not be served by this pack.

Power Delivery up to 29W

The cable supports Power Delivery at 29W and is backwards compatible with 27W and 20W chargers, enabling an iPhone 14 to reach 60 percent charge in 29 minutes when paired with a suitable PD adapter. Maximum current is 3A and data transfers run at 480Mbps. Users without a USB-C PD charger of 18W or above will not see the fast-charging benefit.

Nylon braid with transparent shell

A nylon-braided jacket and transparent connector housing protect the cable from daily bending and tangling while keeping the ends visible for inspection. The 3.3ft length suits desk, bedside or car use, and the two-pack provides a spare for travel or a second device. Anyone needing a right-angle connector or a ruggedised outdoor rating should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the Essager XJI cable to my iPhone and charger?

Plug the USB-C end into a PD charger of 18W, 20W, 27W, 29W, 61W or 87W, then insert the Lightning C94 connector into the iPhone; the gold pins on the C94 must face the screen side or the cable will not seat fully.

What part of this cable wears out first and when should I replace it?

The nylon braid resists fraying, but the C94 Lightning connector's gold pins can oxidise after many insertions; replace the cable if charging drops below 3A or data falls under 480Mbps.

What limits the 29W fast-charge speed during a long charging session?

The 3A current ceiling and the PD charger's thermal throttle; once the iPhone reaches roughly 60% the power draw tapers below 29W to protect the battery.
