ESTONE Essager XR 100W USB-C Cable

The ESTONE Essager XR is a USB-C to USB-C cable rated for 100W power delivery at 5A and 20V. It features a nylon braided jacket and an integrated LED display that shows real-time charging power. A built-in E-Marker chip identifies the connected device protocol and negotiates the appropriate power level up to the maximum rating. The pack contains two black cables, each measuring 6.6ft in length.

Suits USB-C laptops, tablets

This cable suits owners of USB-C laptops, tablets and phones that accept USB Power Delivery up to 100W and who want visible confirmation of the active charge rate. It is not for devices limited to lower USB-C power profiles that do not support PD negotiation. Buyers who need a USB-A to USB-C cable or a shorter length for portable use should look at a different cable type.

100W PD rating with E-Marker chip

The single specification that decides fit is the 100W USB Power Delivery rating backed by an E-Marker chip. The cable negotiates 18W, 30W, 45W, 65W or 100W depending on the host charger and device capability. If your charger and device both support 100W PD, this cable will deliver the full rate; if either tops out lower, the chip steps down automatically.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 6.6ft 2-pack or a different length for my MacBook Pro 16?

The 6.6ft 2-pack gives you two identical cables at 100W PD, so you can keep one at a desk and one in a bag without losing charging speed.

What does the 100W rating actually deliver when I plug this into a laptop?

With a 20V 5A charger the cable can push 100W, charging a MacBook Pro 16 from 0 to 40% in 30 minutes and a Samsung S20 to 80% in the same time.

Does the USB-C connector limit the cable to a lower power standard in practice?

The built-in E-Marker chip negotiates PD up to 100W and steps down to 65W, 45W, 30W or 18W automatically, so the connector never caps the power below what the device supports.
