ESTONE HDMI2SDI Video Converter

The ESTONE HDMI2SDI converts a single HDMI source into two simultaneous SDI feeds. It accepts HDMI 1.3a input up to 1080p at 60 Hz with embedded audio and outputs 3G-SDI, HD-SDI or SD-SDI signals automatically. The unit is aimed at broadcast, security and AV installers who need reliable long-distance signal distribution.

Upgrade From Short HDMI Runs

This converter replaces direct HDMI cabling when the signal must travel beyond typical copper limits. It supports 3G-SDI transmission up to 100 metres and HD-SDI up to 200 metres without repeaters. The jump is worth it for fixed installations such as studio floors, auditoriums or camera chains where HDMI drop-outs or length restrictions make a direct connection impractical.

Plug-And-Play BNC Installation

The box requires no external power supply and draws power from the HDMI source, so setup is a single cable from the camera or switcher and two BNC cables to the displays. Common issues are mismatched frame rates — ensure the source outputs one of the listed 1080p or 720p modes — and loose BNC connectors, which can interrupt the clock detection that auto-selects the SDI standard.
