Lightning SD Card Reader for iOS 9.2+

This white Lightning adapter lets iPhone and iPad users import photos and videos directly from an SD card without a computer or extra app. It supports iOS 9.2 or later on iPhone and iOS 8.0 or later on iPad, opening the Photos app automatically on insertion. Compatible models include iPhone 5 through 12 series and iPad Mini, Air and Pro 9.7 or 12.9 inch. Ideal for trail camera owners who want to review and share images in the field.

Upgrade from computer tethering or Wi-Fi transfer

Replaces the need to carry a laptop or rely on slow camera Wi-Fi when offloading high-resolution JPER RAW stills and H.264 MPEG-4 video. The jump is worth it when you want immediate access to files on iOS 13 or later, where the Files app enables two-way transfer of documents such as Excel Word PPT PDF alongside media. Not for users who need USB-C connectivity or Android OTG support.

Limited by USB 2.0 interface and 512 GB card ceiling

Maximum card capacity is 512 GB and sustained throughput sits at 14 to 16 MB/s over USB 2.0, so large RAW bursts or long 4K clips will ingest slowly. The reader draws power from the Lightning port and offers no pass-through charging while in use. No support for microSD without a separate adapter and no compatibility with devices running iOS below 8.0 or 9.2 respectively.
