What this switch does

The ESTONE OZ8AB is a bi-directional HDMI 2.1 switch and splitter that handles 48 Gbps bandwidth and resolutions up to 7680×4320 at 60 Hz. It lets you connect two source devices to one display or one source to two displays, though only one output is active at a time. A supplied DC 5 V adapter powers the unit and a push-button on the chassis selects the active signal path.

Who it suits and who it doesn't

Home-theatre owners who need manual switching between a console, streamer or PC and a single 8 K or high-refresh 4 K screen will find it straightforward. Buyers who want automatic source detection or simultaneous dual-display output should look elsewhere, as the switch requires a physical button press and cannot drive both outputs at once. The three-to-six-second handshake on some high-power sources may also frustrate users who expect instant switching.

The spec that decides fit

Maximum bandwidth of 48 Gbps determines whether your 8 K 60 Hz or 4 K 120 Hz signals pass without compression, so verify that your cables and source devices support that rate before purchasing.

Questions about this item

How do I know the ESTONE OZ8AB is switching correctly after I connect my PS5 and TV?

Press the manual switch button on the unit; the active source appears on the display within 3-6 seconds, confirming the 48Gbps link is live.

What comes in the box and which cables must I supply?

The package includes the switch, a DC 5V power cable and a user manual; you must provide HDMI 2.1 cables (up to 3 meters) for 8K60 or 4K120 operation.

Should I choose the 2-in-1-out or 1-in-2-out mode for my setup?

Use 2-in-1-out to toggle between two sources on one screen, or 1-in-2-out to send one source to either of two displays (only one active at a time).
