What this capture card does
The ESTONE OZC6 captures one HDMI source at up to 4K 60 Hz and passes it through an HDMI loop-out at the same rate. It also accepts a microphone input and sends video to a PC over USB 3.0. The device is aimed at streamers, educators and anyone recording gameplay or presentations without installing drivers.
USB 3.0 bandwidth limits the recorded stream
Over the USB 3.0 link the card delivers a maximum of 4K at 30 fps, while the HDMI loop-out maintains 4K at 60 fps. Colour space options are YUY2 and RGB24, and audio arrives as LPCM. Your computer and capture software must support the chosen resolution and frame rate for the pipeline to work.
Three HDMI inputs selectable by remote
The unit provides three HDMI inputs that you switch with the included IR remote, so only one source is active at a time. If you need simultaneous multi-source capture or internal PCIe bandwidth, this external switcher will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item
Should I pick the 4K or 1080P option for my setup?
The card is a single 4K model that accepts three HDMI inputs at up to 4K 60 Hz and passes through 4K 60 Hz on its HDMI output while the USB 3.0 capture path tops out at 4K 30 fps or 1080p 60 fps.
What does the 4K 60 fps headline mean once the card is in my PC?
You can preview and pass through 4K 60 Hz on the HDMI loop-out, but the recorded or streamed signal over USB 3.0 is limited to 4K 30 fps or 1080p 60 fps depending on the software you choose.
How does the USB 3.0 interface cap what I can actually capture?
USB 3.0 bandwidth restricts capture to 4K at 30 fps or 1080p at 60 fps in YUY2 or RGB24 colour space, while the HDMI loop-out still delivers 4K 60 Hz to your display.
