Extends HDMI video and USB keyboard and mouse control up to 60 metres over a single Cat6 cable with Power over Cable and local HDMI loop-out
The ESTONE OZD5D6 extends HDMI, USB keyboard and mouse, and audio signals up to 60 metres over a single AWG23 CAT6 cable. It supports resolutions up to 1920x1080 at 60 Hz with HDR and 3D, plus LPCM 7.1, Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 audio formats. A local HDMI loop-out on the transmitter allows a nearby display to mirror the source.
The extender units are compact, fanless devices that run silently and draw power through the CAT cable via Power over Cable, so only one power adapter is required for the pair. HDMI 1.4b and HDCP 1.4 compliance ensures stable handshakes with no added latency. Typical operation stays cool without active airflow.
Over CAT6 the link maintains full 1920x1080 at 60 Hz for the full 60 metre distance, while CAT5e reaches 50 metres and CAT5 reaches 40 metres without signal degradation. The 10.2 Gbps bandwidth and 300 MHz pixel clock handle continuous video, USB HID and multi-channel audio streams simultaneously. Performance remains consistent during extended sessions.

Connect one AWG23 Cat6 cable to the RJ45 ports on both units, link the source HDMI to the transmitter and the display to the receiver, then plug the single power adapter into the transmitter — the receiver draws power over the same cable via POC, so forgetting that only one adapter is needed is the common error.
The AWG23 Cat6 cable itself; signal integrity degrades at the 60m maximum, so a higher-grade or shorter cable is the first item to swap when dropouts appear.
Cat5e reaches 50m, Cat6 reaches 60m; beyond those lengths the 10.2Gbps stream exceeds the cable bandwidth and the picture drops out.
