The ESTONE OZG2 is a three-input, one-output optical audio switch that lets you connect up to three Toslink sources such as consoles, Blu-ray players or streaming boxes to a single SPDIF input on a soundbar, AV receiver or amplifier. It is aimed at users who need to share one digital audio input across several devices without unplugging cables.

Three inputs, one output, 40 m reach

The switch passes LPCM2.0, Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 at sample rates of 32, 44.1, 48 and 96 kHz, with a claimed fibre loss below .2 dB per metre for runs up to 40 m. It does not handle 7.1 formats such as Dolby Digital Plus or Dolby TrueHD, so multichannel audio beyond 5.1 must be carried over HDMI instead.

USB-powered, IR and manual control

A 5 V USB cable powers the unit, so a spare USB port or charger is required. The box includes an IR remote, an IR extension cable and a front-panel button for manual switching, and the device remembers the last selected input after power loss. No HDMI, analogue or coaxial ports are provided.
