18.5 Gbps bandwidth at 4K 60Hz

The switch passes full 4K resolution at 60 Hz with YUV444 or RGB888 colour sampling. Lower frame-rate 4K modes such as 24, 25 or 30 Hz are also supported. HDMI 2.0b and HDCP 2.2 compliance protect premium content. Bandwidth below 18.5 Gbps would force chroma subscaling or frame-rate drops.

Handles 4K 60Hz HDR and multi-channel audio

The switch comfortably carries 3840×2160 at 60 Hz with HDR10 and Dolby Vision metadata. It also transmits Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD and PCM audio without distortion. It runs out of headroom for resolutions above 4K or refresh rates beyond 60 Hz, so 8K or high-frame-rate 4K sources need a different solution.
