8K Bi-Directional HDMI 2.1 Switch

The ESTONE OZQ8AB3 is a compact audio/video switch that operates in two modes: it connects two HDMI sources to one display, or one source to two displays (one active at a time). It supports HDMI 2.1 bandwidth for 8K resolution at 60 Hz, 4K at up to 144 Hz, and 1080p at 240 Hz. Manual switching is performed via the front button or the included infrared remote.

Gamers and multi-source setups

This unit suits anyone who needs to toggle a PS5, Xbox Series X, Blu-ray player or laptop between a single TV or monitor, or who wants to move one console between two screens without replugging cables. It does not suit users who require automatic source detection, simultaneous dual-display output, or switching among more than two inputs. HDMI cables are not included.

HDMI 2.1 bandwidth and cable limits

The decisive specification is the HDMI 2.1 interface, which enables 8K@60 Hz, 4K@144 Hz and VRR passthrough. To achieve these rates the source, the display and every cable in the chain must support the same standard. The manufacturer advises that 8K signals stay within 1.5 m (4.9 ft) and 4K signals within 3 m (9.8 ft) of total cable length.

Questions about this item

What does the 8K@60Hz rating mean when I connect this switch to my TV?

It passes 7680 x 4320 resolution at 60 frames per second from a compatible source to a compatible display, provided every cable in the chain meets the HDMI 2.1 spec.

How does the HDMI 2.1 interface limit the cable runs I can use?

For 8K@60Hz keep total cable length under 1.5 metres (4.9 ft); for 4K@120Hz under 3 metres (9.8 ft); for 1080P@240Hz under 8 metres (26.2 ft).

What space and power connections does the unit need to sit on my shelf?

The box measures 5.91 x 2.36 x 0.79 inches and weighs 11.9 ounces; it draws power from the included Type-C cable so you need a nearby USB port or charger.
