What this switch does

The ESTONE OZV2E is a two-input HDMI 2.0b switch with an integrated audio extractor. It passes 4K at 60 Hz video to a single display while simultaneously sending audio to a receiver or headphones via HDMI ARC, optical, coaxial or 3.5 mm outputs. The unit is aimed at home-theatre owners who need to connect multiple sources to one screen and separate the sound for external amplification.

Check your source and display

Verify that each source device can output HDMI 2.0b with HDCP 2.2 or 2.3 and that your display accepts 4K at 60 Hz over HDMI 2.0b. The extractor requires the included 5 V DC power adapter, so ensure a nearby mains socket is available. If you plan to use ARC or eARC, confirm your TV or projector has an ARC-labelled HDMI port and that the feature is enabled in its settings menu.

Replaces a basic switch or direct connection

This unit upgrades a simple HDMI switch by adding multi-format audio extraction and ARC support, letting you keep an older AV receiver that lacks 4K passthrough. The jump is worthwhile when you need to feed 4K 60 Hz video to a display while sending Dolby Atmos, DTS:X or 7.1 LPCM to a separate audio system without buying a new 4K-capable receiver.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need to buy HDMI cables separately?

The package includes the switch, IR remote (no battery), 5 V/2 A power adapter and manual. HDMI cables for the two inputs and single output are not supplied.

Which audio output mode should I select with the toggle switch for my soundbar?

Use the 4-position toggle to match your soundbar: TV for ARC/eARC passthrough, 2.0 for stereo PCM, 5.1 for LPCM/Dolby/DTS 5.1, or 7.1 for LPCM 7.1 and Dolby Atmos/DTS:X.

Will 4K 60 Hz HDR video pass through to my TV while audio is extracted?

Yes. The switch handles 3840 × 2160 at 60 Hz with 18.5 Gbps bandwidth, HDCP 2.3 and 10-bit HDR, so video reaches the display unchanged while audio goes to optical, coaxial, 3.5 mm or HDMI audio ports.
