Adds eight USB 3.2 ports — four Type-C and four Type-A — at up to 10 Gbps through a single PCIe x1 slot
The ESTONE PCIE24A4C3.2 expansion card adds eight USB 3.2 ports to a desktop computer through a single PCI Express x1 slot. Four ports use the USB-C connector and four use the USB-A connector, giving a mix of modern and legacy interfaces on one bracket. The card draws all required power from the PCI Express slot itself, so no extra power cables are needed. Each port is protected by independent over-current and short-circuit safeguards.
The card supports Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and 11 on both 32-bit and 64-bit installations, plus macOS 10.8.2 or later and Linux. A driver must be installed before use, supplied on the included CD or available for download. The bracket measures 4.76 inches overall with a USB-A port height of 0.71 inches, so it will not fit 1U or 2U server chassis or other low-profile enclosures. Dell motherboards running Windows 10 or 11 may encounter compatibility issues.
The card delivers up to 10 Gbps data transfer per port under the USB 3.2 standard, doubling the throughput of earlier USB 3.0 implementations. Actual speeds depend on the connected device and system configuration. The single PCI Express x1 lane carries traffic for all eight ports simultaneously. If your workflow demands sustained 10 Gbps across multiple ports at once, verify that your platform and peripherals can saturate that bandwidth.

The card supports PCI Express 3.0 and 2.0 x1 lane, so it will run on your older slot; maximum throughput is limited to the x1 lane bandwidth of that generation.
Connect a USB 3.2 Gen 2 device and run a benchmark such as CrystalDiskMark; sustained read/write near 10 Gbps indicates the port and driver are operating correctly.
The package contains the expansion card, a CD driver, mounting screws and a user manual; a low-profile bracket is not included.
