Adds four USB 3.0 Type-A ports through a PCI Express slot with up to 5 Gbps transfer speed per channel and no external power cable required
The ESTONE PCIE24ABK adds four USB 3.0 Type-A ports to a desktop through a single PCI Express x1 slot. It uses a NEC chipset to deliver up to 5 Gbps total bandwidth and is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.x devices. The card draws power from the slot itself and includes a driver CD for older operating systems. Installation requires an available PCIe slot and a standard full-height bracket.
This card suits users who want to connect multiple external drives, VR headsets, cameras or input devices without opening the case again. It works with Windows 7 through 11 and Mac OS 10.8.2 or later, with native support on recent versions. Builders using low-profile cases, PCIe x1 slots occupied by other cards, or systems lacking a free x1 lane should look elsewhere. The bracket height and slot requirement are fixed constraints.
The card connects through one PCI Express 2.0 x1 lane, so the 5 Gbps USB 3.0 bandwidth is shared across all four ports. Simultaneous transfers on multiple devices will divide that ceiling. If your workflow demands sustained 5 Gbps on several ports at once, this topology cannot deliver it. Check that your motherboard has a free x1, x4, x8 or x16 slot and that the operating system matches the supported list before buying.

Yes, the card complies with PCI Express 2.0 and fits x1, x4, x8 or x16 sockets, so it works in a PCIe 2.0 slot.
The card is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.x devices, so older drives operate at their rated speeds.
In Device Manager the controller should appear as a USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller, and a USB 3.0 flash drive should show SuperSpeed (5 Gbps) in its properties.
