Right-angle USB-C cable for tidy desks

The ESTONE PQ118 is a 10 ft USB 3.2 Gen 2.2 cable with male-to-male USB-C connectors and a 90-degree L-shaped plug. It targets users who want a single cable for charging, data and 4K video while keeping the connector close to the device body. The right-angle design reduces strain on ports during desktop charging or when using a tablet on a couch or in bed.

Practical limits of the USB 3.2 Gen 2.2 interface

The cable supports up to 20 Gbps data transfer, 4K resolution at 60 Hz with HDR 10-bit colour, and 100 W (20 V/5 A) Power Delivery 3.0 charging. Actual throughput and charging speed depend on the host, charger and device capabilities; the cable itself does not exceed the USB 3.2 Gen 2.2 specification. Thunderbolt 3 and 4 hosts are compatible at their own negotiated rates.

Build quality and day-to-day connector implications

Gold-plated contacts and a construction rated for at least 10 000 90-degree bend cycles aim to withstand repeated flexing at the right-angle joint. The L-shape keeps the cable running parallel to the device edge, improving desk cable management and preventing the plug from digging into hands during handheld use. The 10 ft length provides reach across a workstation without requiring an extension.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 10 ft length or a shorter cable for my desk setup?

The cable is 10 ft long and features a 90-degree right-angle connector that keeps the desk tidy while charging. Choose the 10 ft version when you need reach across a wide desk or want to use the device comfortably on a couch or bed.

What does the 20 Gbps rating mean when I copy files between my laptop and an external drive?

The cable supports up to 20 Gbps data transfer under the USB 3.2 Gen 2.2 specification, so large files such as a 20 GB movie can move in roughly a minute when both host and drive also support that speed.

Will the USB-C to USB-C connector work with Thunderbolt 3 or 4 ports on my MacBook?

Yes, the cable is compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and 4 ports for data, 4K video at 60 Hz, and up to 100 W power delivery, but it operates at the USB 3.2 Gen 2.2 bandwidth of 20 Gbps rather than full Thunderbolt speeds.
