Five-Pack RJ45 Coupler Kit

This pack contains five RJ45 female-to-female couplers designed to join two Ethernet patch cables into a single longer run. Each unit uses 8P8C contacts with nickel plating and a snap-in retaining clip for a secure, corrosion-resistant connection. The moulded housing is high-impact, fire-retardant plastic. The couplers are compliant with the TIA/EIA 568-C.2 Category 6 standard and RoHS compliant. They suit installers and home users needing quick cable extension without re-termination.

Category 6 Performance Ceiling

The couplers are verified to the TIA/EIA 568-C.2 Category 6 specification, so the link will only perform to Category 6 limits even when Cat7 or Cat6a cables are used. Maximum supported throughput is 10 Gbps, but only over the shorter distances that Category 6 cabling allows. The adapter adds an extra connection point, which increases insertion loss and near-end crosstalk on the channel. Installers must account for this extra loss in their total link budget to keep certification valid.

Not For Permanent Structured Cabling

These in-line couplers are not a substitute for a proper keystone jack and patch-panel termination in permanent building wiring. They introduce a mated connector pair that cannot be tested or certified like a single continuous cable run. Buyers who need a permanent, standards-compliant horizontal link should use solid-core cable terminated at both ends instead.
