Replaces Manual Cable Swapping

It removes the need to physically change HDMI leads when moving between a PS5, Xbox Series X, Apple TV or similar 4K 120 Hz sources. The jump is worth it when you run multiple 8K 60 Hz or 4K 120 Hz devices on a single 8K monitor or TV and want instant switching with dual status LEDs.

HDMI 2.1 48 Gbps Bandwidth Limit

The PI3HDX1221 chip delivers 48 Gbps throughput, capping resolution at 8K 60 Hz or 4K 120 Hz. Connected HDMI cables must not exceed 3 metres per leg. Only one output displays at a time, and the micro-USB power input is required when source power is insufficient.
