Bi-Directional HDMI 2.1 Switch for 8K Displays

The ESTONE TJ-A041 connects two HDMI sources to one display or one source to two displays. It supports 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz with 48 Gbps bandwidth. Gamers and home-theatre users can toggle between a console and a PC or switch a single source between a monitor and a projector without swapping cables.

Manual Button Switching with Dual LED Indicators

A physical button selects the active path and two LEDs show which port is live. Only one output displays at a time in splitter mode. The box includes a DC 5 V power cable for stable operation when source devices cannot supply enough current through the HDMI link.

HDMI 2.1 Cable Length Limit of Three Metres

The manufacturer specifies that cables on either side must not exceed three metres to maintain 48 Gbps signal integrity. Longer runs may drop 8K 60 Hz or 4K 120 Hz modes. The PI3HDX1221 chip handles 12 000 operations per second and monitors temperature 14 times per second, but cable quality and length remain the practical constraint.

Questions about this item

Will the PI3HDX1221 chip need firmware updates or replacement over time?

The PI3HDX1221 master chip handles 12,000 operations per second and includes 14 overheat checks per second for long-term stability; no user-serviceable parts or firmware updates are required.

What bandwidth ceiling limits sustained 8K or 4K120 signals through this switch?

The 48Gbps high-speed bandwidth ceiling is the first limit; it carries 8K@60Hz and 4K@120Hz without compression, so sustained use stays within that pipe.

Does the unit get hot or draw extra power when running all day at 48Gbps?

The chip runs 14 overheat detections per second and the supplied DC 5V line powers the switch; no active cooling is needed and heat stays low during continuous 48Gbps operation.
