The ESTONE TJ-A106 is a bi-directional DisplayPort 1.4 switch that handles one source to two displays or two sources to one display. It supports 8K at 30 Hz, 4K at 120 Hz and 1080p at 240 Hz with 10-bit colour and HDR. The unit requires the included 5 V USB power cable to operate.

Bandwidth and cable limits

The 32.4 Gbps link is only guaranteed with standard DisplayPort 1.4 cables kept to a total length of 3 metres. Longer or lower-grade cables can cause flicker or signal loss. The switch does not split the signal; only one output is active at a time when used as a 1-in-2-out device.

The deciding specification

If you need both connected monitors to show an image simultaneously this is not the right part. The hardware toggles between outputs with the Select button and cannot drive two displays at once.
