8K@30Hz DisplayPort Switch

The ESTONE TJ-A106 is a bi-directional DisplayPort 1.4 switch that routes 8K@30Hz or 4K@120Hz signals between one source and two displays or two sources and one display. It suits desktop users who need to share a single monitor between a PC and a laptop or toggle a workstation between two screens without unplugging cables.

Install with USB power and short cables

Connect the included DC 5V USB power cable before linking any source or display; the switch will not pass a signal without it. Use standard DP 1.4 cables and keep the total cable run under three metres to avoid flicker or signal loss. Press the Select button to change the active path; the LED shows which port is live.

One active path at a time and bandwidth ceiling

The switch passes up to 32.4Gbps and supports 10-bit colour with HDR, but it cannot drive two displays simultaneously in 1-in-2-out mode. Resolutions above 4K@120Hz are limited to 30Hz, and 1440p@165Hz is the highest high-refresh option. Longer or lower-grade cables will reduce the usable refresh rates.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the ESTONE TJ-A106 is switching correctly after connecting my PC and monitor?

Press the Select button on the switch; the LED indicator will change to show which of the two DisplayPort 1.4 ports is active, and your display should show the source immediately at up to 8K@30Hz or 4K@120Hz.

What cables and accessories come with the TJ-A106 and what must I provide?

The box includes the bi-directional DisplayPort 1.4 switch, a DC 5V power cable, and a product manual; you must supply standard DisplayPort 1.4 cables for each source and display connection.

Which resolution and refresh-rate combination should I pick for my 4K monitor using this DP 1.4 switch?

The switch supports 4K@120Hz and 4K@60Hz; choose 4K@120Hz for high-refresh gaming if your graphics card and monitor both support it, otherwise 4K@60Hz for general use.
