ESTONE U310 100 FT Active USB 3.0 Extension Cable

This active USB 3.0 extension cable extends a USB A connection up to one hundred feet. Built-in signal booster chips prevent signal loss over the long run. It is suited for users who need to place VR headsets, cameras, printers or storage devices far from the host computer. The cable delivers SuperSpeed data rates up to 5 Gbps.

Compatibility and power requirements

The cable uses a USB 3.0 Type A male connector on one end and a Type A female port on the other. It is backward compatible with USB 2.0, 1.1 and 1.0 devices. A 5V 2A power adapter is included and must be connected when the attached peripheral draws more than 900 mA. Verify that your device uses a standard USB A interface before ordering.

Sustained-load behaviour

Triple-layer shielding with foil and braid protects the conductors from EMI and RFI during continuous transfers. Gold-plated contacts resist oxidation to maintain conductivity over time. The active booster chip maintains the 5 Gbps link without attenuation across the full length. The supplied power adapter provides stable current and back-pressure protection for uninterrupted operation.

Questions about this item

Does the 100 FT cable ship with everything needed for long runs, or must I buy a separate power supply?

The box includes the active USB 3.0 extension cable and a 5 V / 2 A power adapter; no extra purchase is required.

How do I decide between this 100 FT active cable and a shorter passive one?

Choose the 100 FT U310 when the device sits farther than a passive cable can reach; its built-in signal booster chip maintains 5 Gbps over the full length.

Will my Oculus Quest 2 actually see 5 Gbps through the full 100 FT?

Yes — the active booster and included 5 V / 2 A adapter sustain SuperSpeed 5 Gbps across the entire 100 FT run, provided the headset draws no more than 900 mA.
