Toughened PLA filament with 90% elongation at break and 11 times standard impact strength for functional mechanical parts
eSUN Super Tough PLA (PLA-ST) is a toughened filament designed for mechanical models, structural components and functional prototypes. It delivers up to 90% elongation at break and 11 times the impact strength of standard PLA. The 1.75 mm diameter is held to a ±0.05 mm tolerance on a 1 kg spool, giving consistent feeding and stable prints with good layer bonding and minimal stringing.
This material suits engineers and hobbyists printing brackets, enclosures, drone frames or consumer-electronics housings that must survive drops or vibration. It prints at ordinary PLA temperatures (200–230 °C nozzle, 45–60 °C bed) on most FDM printers. Builders who need heat deflection above 60 °C, soluble support compatibility or food-safe certification should choose a different polymer.
Each 1 kg reel ships in a vacuum bag with a desiccant pack, preventing moisture uptake and dust contamination that cause bubbling or nozzle clogs. The tight winding avoids tangles and overlap, so the filament feeds smoothly during long, unattended prints. Store the spool sealed when not in use and retract filament after printing to extend shelf life.

It works with most FDM 3D printers that take 1.75 mm filament; check your printer’s specification to confirm compatibility.
Yes, those temperatures are within the range of standard PLA-capable hot-ends, though you may need to reduce speed to 40–100 mm/s for reliable feeding.
Watch for smooth extrusion at 215 °C with consistent layer bonding, minimal stringing, and no nozzle clogging — signs the ±0.05 mm tolerance is holding.
